Zero data retention is a requirement to verify, not a slogan.
Our consulting standard puts client confidentiality first. For sensitive AI processing, we require verification of zero-data-retention terms for the specific provider, model, endpoint, and configuration before recommending deployment. A promise not to train on your data is not the same as a promise not to retain it. If a workflow cannot meet the agreed protections, we redesign it or keep sensitive data out.
Protection extends beyond the model: minimize and redact inputs, restrict access, review subprocessors, and define what applications, logs, backups, and business records may retain. Agentic integrations need narrow permissions, human approval for consequential actions, and a way to pause or revoke access. Professional judgment stays with people; legal workflows remain attorney-supervised and AI does not give legal advice.
